Course Details

ABC Qualification – A Nationally Accredited Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals
Level 3 Certificate – 3 credits

A mentoring service is provided to each learner on an individual basis for as long as they require optimizing their learning potential.

  • All pet owners and people who have an interest in the nursing and care of dogs
What will I gain from the course?
  • Knowledge and understanding of animal emergencies and how to identify the types of emergencies that may occur
  • Knowledge of how to deal with these types of emergencies correctly and state what treatment may be safely applied
  • Increased confidence and ability in dealing with injured dogs
  • Thorough understanding of the animal resuscitation procedure
  • Practical skill and knowledge to explain and apply different bandaging techniques

Finish time may extend due to delegate interaction. Please be prepared for a late finish on Day One.

  • Epilepsy – Heat Stroke – Insect Stings – Haematomas – Haemorrhage – Death – Legislation – Shock – Insect stings – Snake bites – Respiratory distress – Gastric dilatation volvulus – Drowning – Unconsciousness and Collapse
  • Resuscitation theory and practical
  • Bandaging theory and practical
  • Post course assignment to be completed post course

Totally laid backs dogs and even falling asleep!

Can’t believe how fast the day has gone! Fantastic to be studying again & with such a great enthusiastic teacher Sara. Looking forward to day two.

Really enjoyed the day. Information has been given in a very clear manner by our tutors.

Lots more new knowledge to handle the extreme situations.

Love the practical elements of first aid. Felt we referred back to hydrotherapy well
