Who is the day suitable for?

Delegates must have successfully completed all of the following courses:

• Introduction to Hydrotherapy
• Introduction to Water Management
• Introduction to First Aid in Animals
• Anatomy and Physiology for Hydrotherapy
• Clinical Conditions Associated with Hydrotherapy
• The Principles and Practice of Hydrotherapy
• Aquatic Treadmill Therapy

Day 1

• Health and Safety Induction and tour of Centre.
• Pool Maintenance including water testing, excluding test strips.
• Induction to paperwork.
• Understand correct terminology for completing patient notes post hydrotherapy session.
• Assessor to explain referral letter and previous treatment to student.
• Prepare for animals hydrotherapy session to include writing up
• information/emergency board.
• Select and fit life jackets, harness etc.
• Observe and assist;
  - Health checks, Measurements where applicable, Showering, Hydrotherapy session, Drying, Post course information to clients

Day 2

• Pool Maintenance including water testing, excluding test strips.
• Complete patient notes post hydrotherapy session to include correct terminology relevant to patient’s performance.
• Explain to Assessor referral letter and previous treatment.
• Prepare for animals hydrotherapy session to include writing up information/emergency board.
• Select and fit life jackets, harness etc.
• Perform;
  - Health checks, Measurements where applicable, Showering, Hydrotherapy session, Drying, Post course information to clients
• Compile a Veterinary feedback form for a patient.
