I myself found it very difficult to find a suitable room that was able to supply a more personalised atmosphere for meetings and lectures at a time to suit me.

Hotels are inclined to be expensive, noisy, stuffy, too impersonal and with little attention to detail. Sometimes even double-booked ! It is with these particular problems in mind that I decided to design and refurbish one of my barn outbuildings at my eighteenth century farmhouse situated in acres of unspoilt greenbelt.

I wanted to be able to provide comfortable tranquil surroundings complemented with modern day technological facilities, tasty home cooked light lunches, afternoon tea, a personal service with undisturbed quietness to encourage a relaxed and informal working atmosphere.
