Hawksmoor have returned to base following a successful congress at Langford Veterinary Services in Bristol.
The day was filled with lectures from the universities Vets, all of whom are experts in their respective fields. The day commenced with a lecture on cruciate disease explaining where the veterinary profession is now in terms of TTA vs. TPLO procedures.
Spinal procedures followed containing really detailed information of research that has been obtained and is currently being explored – who knows where our patients with spinal cord injury will be in another 10 years time. All fascinating!
The morning was then finished off with a lecture on cardiac disease and autoimmune disease, such a complex dysfunction where we only really scratched the surface. This also included the impact these diseases have on the hydrotherapy patient.
The afternoons seminars consisted of pain management, TTouch by Sarah Fisher – this ladies knowledge – WOW. The day was closed with a pool vs. treadmill debate delivered by Hawksmoors Sara and Becky – always a lively discussion!
We hope you all enjoyed the day and found the topics covered interesting and informative. Thank you from all of the Hawksmoor team for attending and also your kind feedbacks.
We hope to see you at our next congress in November 2015 at Willows Veterinary Centre & Referral Service.
