Bilateral Elbow Dysplasia
Jazmin was initially presented to the Veterinary Surgeon with a 3 week history of intermittent lameness, particularly to the left for limb.
The Veterinary Surgeon was able to elicit a pain response in the affected elbow and therefore prescribed a week’s course of non steriodal antiflammatories.
Radiographs were then performed to confirm the suspected diagnosis. Mild bilateral elbow dysplasia was diagnosed and jazmin was referred for treatment on the Aquatic Underwater treadmill as well as receiving a glucosamine and chondroitin supplement.

At present she undertakes twice weekly sessions and already her muscle mass has increased from 20cm in the left fore to 22cm and from 22cm to 23.5cm in the right fore.
Currently she is not receiving further medication.
